Supervision is a reflective and exploratory process between supervisee and supervisor.

The expectation is that the supervisee offers an honest and open account of their work and the supervisor offers feedback and guidance to facilitate the development of the supervisee’s therapeutic competencies. The supervisor will also pay attention to the supervisee's practice and monitor whether it conforms to current ethical and professional standards.

We offer supervision to counsellors and psychotherapists within an individual or group setting.  We also provide supervision support to individuals on counselling or psychotherapy courses.

Our supervision service extends to professionals in the health, caring and pastoral professions. This can be arranged either by individuals contacting CPSA practitioners or by employers contacting us. As an employer, you may wish staff to be supervised individually or in a group setting. This can be accommodated by calling one of the practitioners and negotiating supervision services.

Couples Counselling, Group Work, Working with Young People and some online services are also offered.  Contact us for further details.

Employer/Employee Support Services are provided to organisations requiring counselling for their staff.  Staff counselling can reduce stress levels, improve morale, enhance performance and reduce sickness absence and the incidence of complaints. Telephone your preferred Counsellor/ Psychotherapist and they will arrange to see your employee as soon as possible. Organisational fees are by arrangement.

Training Packages for Staff of Organisations are tailored to meet individual needs. Many different types of groups could benefit from this training, including public sector workers, health and caring professionals, those working in voluntary, pastoral and community settings or in customer care.
